General Terms and Conditions of Sale

Booking conditions

These general booking terms and conditions apply to all bookings made on the websites www.inter-hotel.com, www.ptitdej-hotel.com, www.qualys-hotel.com, www.relaisdusilence.com and www.seh-hotels.com in a Société Européenne d'Hôtellerie (SEH) hotel for individual customers (excludes Group bookings). They are an integral part of the contract. The offers and general terms and conditions presented are valid on the day they are consulted. They are periodically updated; however, all bookings made will be honoured on the date of the stay under the specified conditions. 

A booking confirmation number will be sent to you for each booking and you will need it to cancel or change your booking or for any communications with SEH or the hotel.
 
You can book on the websites www.inter-hotel.com, www.ptitdej-hotel.com, www.qualys-hotel.com, www.relaisdusilence.com and www.seh-hotels.com until the arrival day. There is no limit to advance bookings (except for special bookings with a minimum time limit) once the rates and availability are provided.

You can also contact our central booking office on the following telephone number: 0826 10 39 09 (€0.15 incl. tax/minute) from France or + 33 1 70 23 81 63 from any other country. If you book late for the same evening, we recommend that you go through our central telephone booking office, which will be able to notify the hotel of a late booking, or phone the hotel directly. 

In the vast majority of cases room bookings are from 14.00 on the arrival day to 12.00 on the departure day. Nevertheless, we recommend that you check these arrival and departure times when you book, as variations exist between hotels. 

If you book a room, it is assigned to you whatever your arrival time. Nevertheless, for arrivals after 20.00*, please contact the hotel by telephone so that you can be given the hotel access code if necessary or so that the hotel is notified that you will arrive late and can take the necessary measures. If you do not do this and you have a concern when you arrive at the hotel, neither SEH nor the hotel can be held liable.

*: 18.00 for Relais du Silence hotels. 

All orders are guaranteed by credit card, but the card is not necessarily debited at the time of booking. That only happens in certain specific cases. This information can be found on your booking confirmation document. If you have any doubts, please refer to it. 


PRICES

All prices are shown in euros (€), except for hotels in Switzerland where they are shown in Swiss francs (CHF). VAT is always included. Some services are subject to a supplement. Rates can be subject to changes that do not in any case incur the liability of Société Européenne d'Hôtellerie (SEH) or of the hoteliers it represents. In some towns, the price shown is increased by a tourist tax paid locally. The tourist tax is clearly specified on your booking confirmation. 


MEANS OF PAYMENT

Bank cards accepted (depending on the hotel) are VISA, Mastercard, Diners Club and American Express cards. Credit cards are used to guarantee the booking. No debit will be made online except in the cases listed below. The total cost of the stay must be paid at the hotel. 

For INTER-HOTEL, P’tit Dej-HOTEL, Qualys-HOTEL and Relais du Silence, the credit card will be debited immediately in the following cases:

• If the booking is a special offer, with immediate pre-payment (for offers that cannot be changed or cancelled, for example). In these cases, the amount taken as guarantee covers the full cost of the stay.

In all other cases, you will pay for your stay at the hotel. This information is clearly indicated on your booking confirmation document.
Even in the case of bookings where the cost of the stay is debited at the time of booking, some taxes, services or extras are to be paid locally. The amount debited at the time of booking includes only services payable at the time of booking (some options can be booked but are to be paid only at the hotel) and the tourist tax is always paid at the hotel. 

SEH and/or the hotel reserve(s) the right to consider your booking cancelled if your credit card details, sent to guarantee payment or as payment, prove inaccurate. If appropriate, SEH and/or the hotel reserve(s) the right to claim damages.


DEPOSITS

Some hotels, in particular Relais du Silence hotels or some hotels in tourist areas, may ask you to pay a deposit at the time of booking, as well as using your credit card to guarantee the booking. The central booking office is not involved in these special terms and conditions and the transaction must be made between the hotel and the customer. The amount and conditions for paying these deposits must be clearly explained to the customer by the hotel and must be accepted by the customer before any transaction. These exchanges must be made exclusively in writing. In the case of deposit payments, the booking becomes firm only after receipt of said payment by the hotelier. The balance of the booking cost will be paid locally to the hotelier.


SSL SECURE BOOKING SYSTEM

In order to guarantee the safety of your online payments, Société Européenne d'Hôtellerie (SEH) uses the secure SSL (Secured Socket Layer) payment system which effectively protects all your sensitive data. The SSL security protocol thus guarantees the confidentiality of the information sent from your browser to the web server using a method encrypting the information when it is entered to validate your booking.

All information sent to our server is sent as part of an SSL session. It is therefore encrypted and protected against any disclosure to a third party.
 You will be able to recognise the secure areas of our site by the padlock visible at the bottom of your browser screen. The URL address of Société Européenne d'Hôtellerie (SEH) then starts with https://, where the "s" means "secured".


COMPLAINTS

Any complaint related to a booking or stay in an SEH hotel must be sent to Société Européenne d'Hôtellerie (SEH) by registered letter within 15 days of your return from the trip that is the subject of the complaint.


SERVICES

Although all the activities mentioned in the descriptions have been confirmed by our hotels and we have therefore published them in good faith, it can happen for reasons beyond our control that these activities and other services are suspended or removed without our being notified.


FORCE MAJEURE

For Société Européenne d'Hôtellerie (SEH) force majeure means any event beyond the parties' control which is unforeseeable and insurmountable and which prevents customers, travellers, or the agency or service providers involved in the trip from performing all or some of the obligations required under the contract. In particular it covers strikes of means of public transport or hotel staff, insurrection, riots or bans of any kind issued by government or public authorities. It is expressly agreed that the force majeure suspends, for the parties, performance of their reciprocal obligations. At the same time, each of the parties bears the cost of all expenses for which they are responsible and which arise from the force majeure: consequently, travellers shall bear alone the additional costs they might incur to allow them to continue their trip as the result of the occurrence of a force majeure event.


DATA PROTECTION

In accordance with French Law 78-17 known as the Data Protection Law, customers are notified that their order is submitted to named computer processing. The right of access and correction guaranteed by the law can be exercised by contacting Société Européenne d'Hôtellerie (SEH) at its registered office: 100, Rue Petit - 75019 Paris – France.


Right to cancellation

Customers are reminded that, in accordance with article L. 121-21-8 12° of the French Consumer Code, they do not have the right to cancellation provided for in article L. 121-21 of the French Consumer Code. The terms and conditions of sale for the rate at which you have booked specify the terms for cancelling and/or amending the reservation.


BOOKING CONFIRMATION

For all bookings made on the websites www.inter-hotel.com, www.ptitdej-hotel.com, www.qualys-hotel.com, www.relaisdusilence.com and www.seh-hotels.com, you will receive a confirmation email stating your booking number. It will be sent to the email address that you gave when making your booking. You are therefore responsible for checking you receive this email and, if appropriate, contacting us if you do not receive it. 


CHANGING BOOKINGS

Changes to bookings (changing dates, names, number of people, number or type of rooms, etc.) are permitted, except for rates marked "non-modifiable". They are subject to the same deadlines as cancellations (see the "Booking cancellation terms and conditions" paragraph) when the change relates to cancelling a certain number of nights of the booking. In such a case, the rules relating to cancelling bookings apply.

Central booking office opening times: Monday to Friday 8.00 to 20.00 and Saturday 8.00 to 12.00. 

You can also change your booking online by going to the site where you made your booking, making sure you have your booking confirmation number to hand. 


CANCELLING BOOKINGS

Here is the procedure to follow to cancel a booking: 

• For a booking where your credit card has not been debited
To cancel a booking, please send an email during opening hours to reservation@seh-hotels.com or phone our central booking office on: 0826 10 39 09 (€0.15 incl. tax/minute) from France (+ 33 1 70 23 81 63 from abroad) or send a fax to 01 42 06 25 52 (from France) or +33 1 42 06 25 52 (from abroad) making sure you have your booking confirmation number to hand. Central booking office opening times:
 Monday to Friday 8.00 to 20.00 and Saturday 8.00 to 12.00. 

You can also change your booking online by going to the site where you made your booking, making sure you have your booking confirmation number to hand. 

• For a booking where your credit card was debited online

The procedure to follow is exactly the same but in all cases please send an email to reservation@seh-hotels.com (even if you make the cancellation by phone), so that the relevant department can make the refund, if needed.

• Outside the central booking office opening hours

Please cancel your booking directly with the hotel by email or phone (you will find this information on the booking confirmation or on the website where you made your booking).  When you have done this, please send an email to support@seh-hotels.com, so that the booking team can process the cancellation when our office reopens and make the refund, if needed. 

If there is a dispute over the cancellation date, written evidence that we can find or that you can provide will be accepted as proof (proof that an email has been sent, for example, showing the date and time). 


BOOKING CANCELLATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

If you cancel your booking, we will apply our cancellation terms and conditions, namely: 

For P’tit Dej-HOTEL, Qualys-HOTEL and INTER-HOTEL hotels: 

For any stay of fewer than 4 nights: 

Cancellations are free of charge if they are made before 12.00 (midday) on the arrival day. For any cancellation after 12.00 (midday), a charge equivalent to the cost of the first night will be billed. 

For any stay of 4 or more nights: 

Cancellations are free of charge if they are made up to 24 hours (one day) before the arrival day. For any cancellation after this deadline, a charge equivalent to the cost of the first night will be billed. 

For Relais du Silence hotels: 

For any stay of fewer than 4 nights: 

Cancellations are free of charge if they are made up to 48 hours (two days) before the arrival day. For any cancellation after this deadline, a charge equivalent to the cost of the first night will be billed. 

For any stay of 4 or more nights:

Cancellations are free of charge if they are made up to 72 hours (three days) before the arrival day. For any cancellation after this deadline, a charge equivalent to 50% of the stay will be billed. 

For bookings guaranteed by a deposit, whatever the cancellation deadline, refunds of all or part of the amount paid by the customer are left to the hotelier's discretion. The hotel will have notified the customer in advance of its terms and conditions on this matter.


BILLING IN THE EVENT OF LATE CANCELLATION OR NO-SHOW

In the event of late cancellation (beyond the deadline for cancellation without charge) or no-shows, the hotelier will have the possibility of debiting the credit card you used to guarantee the booking. A bill can be issued to you on request. If the hotel is unable to debit this card, SEH may be required to do so on the hotel's behalf. If it is impossible for the hotel and for SEH, we will contact you so that you can give us the details of another credit card or send us payment by cheque. 

In the event of force majeure, the hotelier may not take account of the required deadlines for changes and cancellations without charge. He may decide not to apply any penalty. In this case, he is entitled to ask the customer for evidence explaining this force majeure event. SEH is not involved in these decisions, which are made by the hotelier alone. 
 
I acknowledge that I have read these general terms and conditions of sale before making my booking. Consequently, my booking means that I will fully comply with the general terms and conditions of sale of Société Européenne d'Hôtellerie (SEH) and accept unreservedly all their provisions.
